LayerShop adds an "fx" icon on the Layers panel of Photoshop Elements. Clicking it displays the Style Settings dialog for adding or editing layer effects. If the background is selected, it will be automatically converted into a layer. You can also use the Layer > Layer Style > Style Settings menu item instead.

Once a layer style was added to a layer a small fx symbol appears at the right hand side of the layer bar. In Photoshop Elements LayerShop allows you to click on this symbol to bring up its Style Settings dialog for editing the layer style. You can also use the Layer > Layer Style > Style Settings menu item instead.
