AdjustShop adds two dozens of menu items to two new menus of the Layer Menu of Photoshop (Elements). The difference between AdjustShop's fill and adjustment layers is that the fill layers features add a new pixel layer, which is then merged with the remaining layers by blend mode. On the other hand adjustment layers do not contain any pixels and change the color, brightness and contrast of the underlying layers.
Supported by Photoshop
CS2/CC and higher, Photoshop Elements 11 and higher
Requirements: An image needs to be opened.
AdjustShop adds 10
additional fill layers to the New Fill Layer sub menu: HDR
Toning,
Fill Flash,
Lighting Effects,
Glow,
Sharpen,
2D Gradient,
Vignette,
Frame, Texture and Grain. The
dialogs are identical to the filter version, so please
read the Correct / Enhance Menu as well as
the Filters page for
more
information.
Filters are only applied to one layer whereas fill layers affect all layers
underneath them. Except, if they have a clipping mask activated, fill layers
affect only the layer right below them. Similar to smart filters the settings
of fill layers can be readjusted. To do that please double click the thumbnail
of the fill layer in the Layers panel.

The Edit Adjustment menu item make it possible to edit the settings of a fill or adjustment layer again. You can also edit fill and adjustments layers by double clicking their thumbnail in the Layers panel or by right clicking on a layer in the Layers panel and choosing "Edit Adjustment".
If ElementsXXL 6.03 or older is installed together with AdjustShop in Photoshop Elements, you have to use the "Edit Adjustment" menu items from the "New Fill Layer" or "New Adjustment Layer" sub menus, because the two other mentioned methods do not work in this case.
