Applying the Edges in Photoshop

I. The Easy Way

1. Open one of the edge files from the edge sub folder.

2. Open the photo file you want the edge to be applied to.

3. Activate the edge window and choose Image Size from the Image menu.

4. In the Image Size dialog enter the pixel size of the photo file to adapt the edge to the size of the photo.

5. Select the whole edge by pressing <Ctl + A> and press <Ctl +C> to copy the edge to the clipboard.

4. Switch to the photo window and press <Ctl+ V> to paste the edge as a new layer on top of the photo.

6. Select the "Multiply" blend mode for the edge layer in the Layers palette to make the underlying photo shine through.

7. If you like, you can flatten the image.

Using the above instructions will result in a black background. To get a white background at the end, invert the edge right by pressing <Ctl + I> after step 1. And later select Screen as the blend mode in step 6.
