Opening file in Metaraw

Hello Harald

When I open a file in Metaraw, it only opens successfully if I use "Open in Camera Raw", and if I accidentally try to just use the "Open" command, Photoshop Elements 13 crashes. I am using Windows 10, 64 bit and using the "Display Camera Raw dialog" and "Open Cached File" options, although changing these options doesn't appear to solve the problem.

Plugins used are Metaraw 201, Layers XXL 105, ElementsXXL303, and FilterHub104.

Can you help with this please?

Many thanks

Brian

Sorry to hear that. Actually the "Open in Camera Raw" command bypasses MetaRaw.

Please go to Help > About Plugin > Camera Raw. When the MetaRaw dialog appears, activate the "Don't Display" check box and click OK. Now open a raw file with File > Open. Does it crash now?

I've already done this and Elements still crashes. However I've just noticed that Canon CR2 files open ok but if I try to open a Fuji RAF file from my XE-2, Elements immediately crashes. I've tested this several times with different files from both cameras, and the same anomaly applies.

Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately fixing a crash problem for the Fuji X-Pro2 raw files in MetaRaw 2.01 produced a crash problem for other Fuji raw files like those of the X-E2.

I now uploaded a fixed version of MetaRaw 2.01.

I see that you are a user of the full version, so I sent you a new download link via email.
