Windows 7 64bit & Pro X4 Ultimate

Post by Lovetullys »

Hi All,

I have W/7 64 bit and X4...I've tried to install plugins/filters but no luck..Where do I put them ?? In the older versions there was a place to install that said plugins, not so in X4....

I have had v9-14 and have always been sucessfull installing them in 9-11. When I installed X3 I kept 11 installed. Due to a total computer crash I'm starting over and any and all help would be greatly appreciated...

Also, if I install the PluginCommander will I have better luck ???

Thanks in advance,
Lovetullys

The Plugin folder of PSP X4 is located at

C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X4\Languages\EN\Plugins\

If you choose another UI language than English, the plugin folder moves from the EN sub folder to another sub folder.

As with all PSP version you can also choose a plugin folder of your own under File > Preferences > File Locations > Plugin Filters.

I still store my Plugins in the original my PSP Files Plugin Folder that was set up with one of the early versions. I just direct each new version to look there for the filters. And when installing Win7 I still continued to access those same folders. I have X, X3 and X4 installed and for each one I set the File Locations to look at those Folders. That's much easier then setting up general Folders for each version.
