desktop screensaver calendar

Post by dointhings »

hi all

I've created 12 images that I want to insert into a desktop calendar that updates each month (preferably automatically!).

The calender should float around on the desktop or be locked into a set position.

I googled "computer desktop calendar", but about 4 pages in and I still hadn't found the program I needed to create one of these, so thought I would try picking all your wonderful brains.

I am not sure what program I should create it in?
Photoshop, Indesign, Frontpage, Flash, or something else??

Any suggestions most welcome.
thanks
Sue

Indesign is probably best for such tasks. But Photoshop should do also.

Hi Harold

I use indesign CS3 all the time, but I am not sure how to get the images from single jpg images into a screensaver "thingo" using Indesign.

It's the "auto updating screensaver" bit that I am unsure which program to use to get the images to work as a screensaver that automatically updates at the start of each month to the relavant months new image.

thanks
Sue

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I thought you wanted to print a calendar.

If you have a bit of programing knowledge you could create a program that would run one every computer start and change the desktop background every month. Should not be that difficult to do.

Hi Harry
Sorry for the confusion, obviously my poor grammar!!

Unfortunately I am "no coder", give me a "drag and drop" program and stand clear!!

I will keep looking.

thanks for your time
