Christmas 2001

Some comments concerning the creation of this greeting card:

This image was composed of seven different photos and one texture in Photoshop. The two fireworks photos at the top were taken from the Photo Galaxy CD, the clouds photo at the top and the christmas balls photo at the bottom were taken from the Photo Textures CD and the stained glass photo will be available in a future Photo Galaxy volume. A texture from the Mutation CD was blended at the very bottom of the image to add it more structure. Additionally I placed a photo of me in the big ball and one of my wife Miriam in the smaller ball. Last but not least the light effect around the Jesus baby was created with the Luce plugin.

The photos were composed together using different gradient masks and blending modes. The Levels feature of Photoshop was used to produce a more seamless transition between the photos. The greeting text was produced with Photoshop's text tool and layer effects.

The abobe image has only 35% of the size of the original image which is 1181x2126 pixels large (or 10x18 cm at 300dpi).
