Best GIF Animation

Mum and Baby

by Louise Burpee

I am quite new to the world of "graphics" and have enjoyed immensely the many different things I have been able to download from Plugin Com HQ. Being a relative "newbie" to this type of "art" I'm probably overly excited at my first attempt of using products from the Edge and Frame and Plug In Galaxies, but oh well, lol, here it is. It possibly isn't good enough for the competition but because I love it so much I thought I would submit it anyway. I used the laquer plugin from Flaming Pear and then added the Mask, ....and well here's Me and My Little Man.

Alien Arrives

by Janis Pratt

Bought Paint Shop Pro last year after son delivered a computer to me--Knew nothing about them are what could be done with them. I am still struggling with the Language! Only ventured into the Animation section in April so thought I would see what others think of my work after reading about the contest via e-mail for PSP. I have Window 98 Plus ----submitting an animation named Alien Arrives (137K)---Did this while listening to Art Bell on talk radio.

Mystic Falls

by Treena

I really love to make globes. You could say that I am addicted to them :-) To achieve the effect of the globe I use KPT5 shape shifter plug-in and I could not do the bases without using the chrome and noise filters from the Plug-in Galaxy.

Heart in motion

by Roman Weigl

My intent in creating this animation was to make it very "light", a flying kind of animation for my curent mood ;-) At first I created the heart using Paint Shop Pro and changed its appearance with one of my favorite effects out of the Filter Factory Plugins, Filter Factory Gallery A - the Ray gun effect. I spend some time to make this rather "strong" effect subtile enough that its usage didn't destroy the romantic atmosphere and colours of the original heart drawing. In the end the effect and some bluring added much more lightness with a lot of different reds and some white and transparent areas in my image. Then I created a gif animation with the Beta2 of the Jasc Animation Shop 3.0 using the Gaussian blur image effect - so out of the blury red materialises a beautiful multishaded heart.

Freedom Fire

by Wendy Purcell

peg.GIF is an expression of fantasy and freedom named Freedom Fire. I used the spotlight and star plugin on it made with PSP6.

Gandalf

by Karen (Kare bear)

I call this one Gandalf. I made the frame in PSP6 using Windows. For this one i began by texturizing the image with Gregg's Factory Output Vol. II / edge effects. I like the textured look it gives most pictures best so far. I then added a border, applied an inner bevel for an edge. I added several borders and used the Filter Factory Gallery A kalidescope II effect to form the star in the frame. I then applied an inner bevel to the outer area of the frame and added the final border applying an inner bevel to it as well. I then opened the picture in the animation shop of PSP and inserted the image effect of stained glass to it. I exported each frame to PSP to add the stars to it.

For Santa

by Karen (Kare bear)

I call this animation for santa. I created it using PSP6 for Windows. I began by applying the Gregg's Factory Output Vol. II / edge effects filter to add texture. I then added a border, applied PSP's kalidescope effect and an inner bevel to create the edge. Next in several additions, I created the star frame by adding borders and selecting with the wand to apply the Filter Factory Gallery A / Kalidescope II effect. I then added texture to the surrounding areas and another inner bevel to make the edges deeper. I finished the frame by adding a border again and repeating the kalidescope and inner bevel. Then finished it by applying a texture to it with the texturizer filter / burlap. I then opened the picture in Animation Shop in PSP and exported each frame to PSP to add the colored stars to the christmas tree and the table decoration.

Cognitive Collision

by Brant Skousen

This animation which I like to call Cognitive Collision, was originally around fifty frames but I had to cut it down bigtime for the strict 200K limit and it is still a bit over. I used the torn edge from the free download of Edge & Frame Galaxy. In other frames of this animation that I had to cut, I used some filters from Filter Factory.

Bomber BFS

by Dan Cook

This is the Bomber BFS (bonus car) off of Need For Speed 2 that I thought looked neat with the flames and stuff. The only thing i used for this is Ulead Gif Animater.

Running Wolf

by Karen Chapman

I doubt this would be anything that anyone but a wolf lover would be interested in but I made this from a 3 image picture off the net into an animated wolf with a great texture.

Pouting Angel

by Marlene Cabais

I used Paint Shop Pro to animate the water, also used PSP tubes and the "Rainbow Eye" from the Frames and Edge Gallaxy as a mask in this animation. I called it "pouting angel", because the angel looks like it is pouting about something.

Moonlight Bay

by Billie Seeling

I used Rayflect Four Seasons to genrate the background added a few tubes and then used Unplugged Tools to make the waves. I'm not to pleased with it but sending for the effort I put into it.

Sundown

by Reyna

This animated button was created by PaintShop pro animation program. The plug-ins used were "Nirvana Radial Sinality" and EyeCandy Glass.

Curtain

by Kalazar

I recently learned to do vector cartooning and thought this is a natural for animation. Thus I created 3 Dog Nite a little rock band. There are performing on a stage with curtains created with Krusty's texture generator and a few of Andrew's filters to get the draping effects.

Me
by Wendy Purcell

me.5 GIF is a photo of myself .. I used PSP6 and animation to make this, has no name.

Valentina

by Marlene Cabais

I made the animation of one of my favorite Fairies in Poser , then used " !eaves " from the Frame & Edge Galaxy as an effect .The animation was finished in PSP Animationshop.

Unicorn Dreams

by Treena Phillips

The plug-in KPT 5 is what I use to achieve the effect of the globe. I just love this plug-in!

Remember When

by Genny Brazell

I love creating animations and this contest has inspired me to create one as my entry. I may not be very good at it, but it sure is fun trying. I used Edge and Frame "Saw Wheel" and the rest was done using Paint Shop Pro 6 and their Animation Factory.

Olympic

by Suganya.S

Now is the Olympic season so I wanted to create an animation for the Olympic. The map of Australia, pictures of Sydney stadium & kangaroos, Olympic torch are from Australian site. I trace the map and applied Blade Pro trial version for the map edge. Olympic symbol created in Photoshop with the embossed layer effect.Medal strap created with Blade Pro .Medal created by using kangaroo clipart in Illustrator. Then taken the medal to Paintshop Pro beta version and applied the sculpture effect. Finally animation done with Adobe Image Ready.

Crazy Rabbit

by Michele Wilcox

I love to draw with my mouse, so I decided to draw a rabbit animation ala Bugs. First, I painted the background sky and grass in PSP5. Then, I added Edge & Frame's Windows 2 and filled it with a stucco colored texture as another layer. Then, I drew 4 different Crazy Rabbits with my mouse. I put them each into their own frame to create my animation of a jumping rabbit.

Live, Laugh, Love

by Michele Wilcox

This one was fun. I put three Edge & Frame's together to create the animation. I used the Flower 3, Flower 6, and Saw Wheel 4 which came up with an interesting movement when animated. I then added the words -- live, laugh, love to each frame and some dots for movement and added interest.

Halloween

by Sallie Richardson

This image was created using bladepro for the frame.

DONT BLINK! You might miss something.

by Tabitha Bliss

The pixie was created using poser, the effects were created using various plugins through paint shop pro, and the frame was supplied from the edge & frame galaxy. I put her all together in Jasc animation shop. :)

Car Travel

by Anne Trudell

About the animation: This compresses two weeks of travel through South Dakota into one image. Travel photos are a way of looking back at where you've been. I'm planning to use it (it's small enough) on a personal website of travel photography.
Technique: Everything was color reduced to optimized, but small palettes in Corel PhotoPaint. The background has been through the Metalwork plugin.

~self-portrait~

by Michael Peterson

used some plug-ins, some filters, & a tube. animated with Jasc animation shop. self portrait, pretty simple in design. 1st frame is set to remain still for longer than rest of animation's frames.
