When I create an animation in AS it was the funky black outline. Does anyone know how I get rid of this?

it helps if you know what color your animation will be set on
for example if your animation will be added to say your emails and the background is going to be whiteor any other color then do this
file--save as--give it a name--save
click on customize
go to the partial transparency tab and check off
Yes blend with this color and click on the little window to change the background color that you will be using for your animation

In PSP's Animation Shop, there is an optimisation wizard.
Go through all the options in it until you get to the part about colors.
Make sure you have the setting ticked, where it says "would you like to blend the partially transparent pixels" and make sure the color in the box is white. That puts your image on a white background. If you want a different color background. choose the color by clicking in the color box.
Animation Shop does not save GIF files well without a background, it does not make good transparent GIF animations in my experience.
