Would anyone be interested in helping me develop a shareware plugin for photoshop on flexagons.
Flexagons are mathematical way of manipulating paper so that you can play with them to reveal hidden sides. More info http://www.aa42.com/Mathemagic/MathsAndArt/flexagon.htm
I have developed a pattern which is made of two rectangles hinged at the 4 corners which you can fold through for ever. Potential applications are business cards, greeting cards, certificates and beer mats.
In order to do this the pugin will need to take 4 images and resize them. Then split them up into a 4*4 grid and shuffle these sub rectangles around so that when they are folded the split up image comes together.
If you know anyone who would be interested that would be great.

Well Flexagon are funny, not more. The biggest critic i will make is that it isn't cyclic. You fold two times, and after you have to perform inverse operations.
I suggest that you create a photoshop action. This should be enough. |

There are 3 well known cyclic flexagons:
Hexaflexagon - 3 pictures in a hexagon
HexaHexaflexagon - 6 pictures in a hexagon
And the new rectangular version of the Guiness Beermat - 4 pictures.
I have the pattern for manipulating images to make all of these using Satori v2.29 however its a real effort to do this and a photoshop plug in would really be awesome and allow artists to play with this mathematical skeleton.

I don't think a photoshop action would be enough. A very time consuming & difficult to automate part of making flexagons is resizing and positioning and focusing the bit of the image you want on the flexagon template. I envision a drag & drop box with a preview button with the ability to position the image anywhere on the side.
