rachnasingh, vijay,

We're currently starting the development of a seamless texturing plugin, and I think it would be of interest to textile designers. In your opinion, what features are the most important for textile design?

Here's my current feature list for textile designers:
1. Seamless tiling
2. All measurements in real units (inches, cm, mm etc), not in pixels
3. Ability to create custom textures in a built-in editor
4. Ability to save/load texture presets

Any suggestions and additions to this list are welcome -- please keep me posted!

Style Drapper looks very interesting. But for $910 it is the most expensive plugin I have ever come across.

Just something to be able to send a file to looms and create weave production cards from Photoshop would be amazing...

This is a reply to Golloween.
I am a professionl textile designer and also looking for a free plugin for Photoshop.
Yes, there is pretty good commercial plug in out there, but (due to minor interest?) they are pretty expensive. I run a one-man design studio, so I cannot really afford them.
If you are creating filter, please contact me. I can give you detailed information as to what textile designers need.

I agree that the pluggin Squizz has alot of potential. I also reccomend the book Adobe Photoshop for Textile design. It's sort of a Textile Design Bible around here. FYI part of the book is dedicated to repeats (square & half drop) in other words it tells how to create a seamless tiled design (easily) without any pluggin

HI all,

I am Textile Designer.
I have looked all over the web for such a plug-in where one can put different textures on sofas, etc thru photoshop.
Only came up with Style Draper but that too is expensive.

i was wondering what the people here have finally done. What solution have you come up with. Or have you got anyother plug-in which i could get from you.

Please do help. Am tired of manually putting a new design on a sofa every time my boss wants a new look done

also, http://www.textronics.com has nothing to do with textile plug-ins ?!?!?!?!?!?!

thanks again.
