rachnasingh, vijay,
We're currently starting the development of a seamless texturing plugin, and I think it would be of interest to textile designers. In your opinion, what features are the most important for textile design?
Here's my current feature list for textile designers:
1. Seamless tiling
2. All measurements in real units (inches, cm, mm etc), not in pixels
3. Ability to create custom textures in a built-in editor
4. Ability to save/load texture presets
Any suggestions and additions to this list are welcome -- please keep me posted!

Plugin for textile desing
This is a reply to Golloween.
I am a professionl textile designer and also looking for a free plugin for Photoshop.
Yes, there is pretty good commercial plug in out there, but (due to minor interest?) they are pretty expensive. I run a one-man design studio, so I cannot really afford them.
If you are creating filter, please contact me. I can give you detailed information as to what textile designers need.

3D texture mapping
i would tend to agree with vijay. these guys at textronics are doing some excellent developements and one has to see the CAD to really believe it. the best part is that their support is also great visit them at www.textronics.com .

DESIDNING GARMENTS

At $910 style draper is simply costly .Does any one else know any other software for this purpose .
Textile design Photoshop
I agree that the pluggin Squizz has alot of potential. I also reccomend the book Adobe Photoshop for Textile design. It's sort of a Textile Design Bible around here. FYI part of the book is dedicated to repeats (square & half drop) in other words it tells how to create a seamless tiled design (easily) without any pluggin
ADOBE PLUGIN
Any body can give any idea for downloadings of repeat setting plugin in photoshop for print/woven designs.
