New problems

As mentioned in my previous post, I tried FocalBlade with Serif PhotoPlus. And it works.
Now I wanted to do the same with Light Machine, wich I have a trial version of.
But the strange thing is that when I try to place Light Machine in the
Plugins folder in PhotoPlus, it removes Focal Blade!
And vice versa, when I reinstall FBlade the LMachine disappears.
It looks like PhotoPlus only accept one plugin program at a time??

I suspect I'm doing something wrong, but what?
Maybe I need to contact Serif about this.
I have both FB and LM placed in my C:\Programs folder.

Giving up?

It looks like I have to give up on using PhotoPlus.
With Light Machine I encounter problems.
It's in Virtual Studio, trying to change Ovality and
Angle doesn't work. Nothing happens when I move the sliders.

Maybe I have to buy some other program.
I made a bid on CorelDraw12 on e.Bay but was outbid.
Should perhaps give it another try.
The reason I keep to Corel is that I have used their programs
for 6 years now. I can get good results with PhotoPaint8,
but it takes time.

PhotoPlus only lets you specify one plugin folder, but you can add other folders by placing shortcuts to other folder in this folder. You can also create sub folder in that folder and install the plugins there. So PhotoPlus works just like Photoshop in that matter.

I found no problems with both sliders in PhotoPlus. Maybe you didn't notice the subtle effect of both sliders.

Thank you but, subtle effect? Don't think so.
There was no effect all. The perfect spot circle stayed unchanged,
even at 100%.
I'll have another go at it tomorrow.

The circular selection stays circular when you use both sliders, although the spot itself changes. That's something to fix in the next update.

I remember from an earlier post that Leif said he was using the free version of Serif PhotoPlus. I think this is version 5 or 6; the current full version is 9.02. I wonder whether there is an incompatibility between some of the PhotWiz plug-ins and that older version of PhotoPlus. Certainly, I've never experienced any problems installing FocalBlade ColorWasher and LightMachine as plug-ins in PhotoPlus 9.

Last episode..

I think we are coming to the last episode of this serial :)

I tried again today, and yes now I could see that the spot mask changed
within the circle. I had expected the circle to change.
I also managed to place both Focal Blade and Light Machine in PhotoPlus.

So now I have to decide if the slightly higher price for LM is worth to pay.
