Alternative Mac program to operate file format plugins?

Post by etatoby »

Hello

I'm looking for a free or cheap Mac OS X program that can operate Photoshop File Format plugins.

I thought I could find some kind of batch image converter that supported them, but my search turned out nothing.

Do you know of anything of the sort?

8li plugins are automation plugins and not file format plugins. They are only supported by Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. Batch processing with them is only possible in Photoshop.

Thank you for your reply.

You are right. But upon closer inspection, it appears that the plugin type encoded in the file extension (8bf, 8li...) is not enforced by Photoshop since version 4. For example, I have this 8li file that contains an automation plugin and a file format one!

Anyway, my question remains. Does anybody know of an alternative Mac program that can operate file format plugins? I know that some image viewers for Windows do it, so it can be done.
