Plug-in for 35mm film border or frame

Postby steinr98 » Thu Oct 06, 2005 4:37 am

Does anyone know of a plug-in or a border for a 35mm frame or border that I can use in PhotoShop. It makes your photo look like a neg or slide in 35 mm with the sprocket holes.
Thanks in advance!

Try some of the plugins listed under Creative Effects>Film (Scratches, edges) at http://www.plugsnpixels.com/imageeffects.html

Mike

I didn't find a 35MM film border. Some othe filters listed were quite pricey. I may try and make my own using some old film.
Thanks for the ideas.

35mm Film Effect

Postby shedrivesz » Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:48 am

Dream Suite Series 1 has a filter called 35mm. It lets one create a negative slide just like a real 35mm negative. There are many adjustments within the program to get the 35mm look you are trying to achieve. Its the closest thing I have ever come across. I know there is another 35mm filter/plugin, Im just trying to remember what it is. Here is the link to DreamSuites Home Page,,,the makers of the software is called" Auto FX".

You can download the demo but you wil need to either buy it or do what I did to use it.

Postby steinr98 » Wed Nov 09, 2005 4:34 am

I found a 35mm film strip which I can cut down to one frame. I think this should work. Thanks to a previous post- you can find it here- it is free.

http://plugsandpixels.com/kubotaactions.html

The Kubota Sloppy Borders photo edges (including many 35mm options) were printed in a traditional darkroom and scanned. The resulting TIFFs (125 megs' worth) can be used with the actions or as source images in other apps (such as EasyFrame, etc.).
