Running Photoshop Filters in Adobe Illustrator

Copy The Plugins/Filters to The Ai Plugins Directory
If Successful All The Applicable Filters will work

BUT You MUST BACKUP The Preferences file "AIPrefs"
Before you quit illustrator the first time the plugins/filters work
And restore it before you restart ilustrator everytime
To resume the Functionality of the Plugins/Filters.

path in windows xp for the AIPrefs adobe illustrator preferences file:-

C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 10\AIPrefs

(about 58kb in size)

TIP: editing the send to directory helps in XP
TIP2 this may take some numerous attempts
TIP3 please backup your ai directory if youre a novice
TIP3 works in ai9 - ai10 so far - from eyecandy to xyz works

Interesting tip, although I don't see a reason for using raster filters in vector images. I prefer not to mix things up :wink:

Actually the purpose is to quickly edit imported images in Adobe Illustrator instead of launching Photoshop.
