Problem when installing Ulead's Particle plugin

^ I'm trying to install that plugin, I need it for various things I'll be doing on my Windows XP computer using Paint Shop Pro 9.

Anyhow, the file comes in .exe format, meaning I have to install it first. I try this, everything seems to be going well, and boom:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

My computer is ordinary and un-tampered with, so I don't see what's causing the problem. It's about a year and a half old... it should be fine.

What do you think this is? A problem with my computer... or the plugin installer? If the latter, does anyone know where to get a similar/different version of this plugin?

Thanks.

Problems with setups are seldom, but they can occur. You need to ask someone to install it on his computer and send you the installed files. Then you have to copy these files into your plugin folder.
