Video Editor/Converter (FadeToBlack)

Hi all!
Does somebody know a good free-trial (or free) video tool similar to FadeToBlack?
FadeToBlack is cool but buggy and it can't read the video files from
my SANYO VPC-MZ3 EX digital camera.
I would like to read the JPEG-Video files (*.MOV) recorded with my camera and save them as DIVX / MPEG4 / MPEG2 / VCD.
