repetitive action commands

Post by CarbonTerry »

Hello,
In PS7 I am trying to duplicate a layer that is reduced by 1% 85 times. The Layer contains text and lines only. I set up an action to make it a lot faster but there seems to be a glitch. After repeating the action 6-8 times some of the text starts to be clipped off and eventually distorted with some strange artifacts attached to the text. Any help here?

Usually the text should get blurred more and more if you reduce its size in 1% steps. If artifacts occur, it looks like there was no interpolation applied when resizing the text. Maybe you used the Nearest Neighbor setting in the Image Size dialog.

Thanks for the reply,
I was thinking (incorrectly, I guess) that since it was a vector shape almost anything could be done to it without much effect on the sharpness, especially shrinking the size.
What I have is a specialized linear graph that one can use whatever size of graph that suits their needs. Any suggestions?
