is there anyway to read a .txt image file in photoshop! help

.txt is a plain text file, not an image.

In Photoshop you can use the "Open As" command and select RAW as file type. That way you can open any file you like and Photoshop interprets the text data as image data.

Another options is the TabbedText plugin. It is a free format plug-in from Reindeer Graphics (for Win/Mac), reads and writes a grayscale images from and to a tab-delimited text file. The text file can be created and manipulated in a spreadsheet like Excel or produced with text output from any arbitrary source. See

Wow, now I didn't know that!

I'm going to check that out myself later when I open Photoshop!

Damn I keep forgetting to log in!!

Anyway I tried that, and when I opened a .txt using open as RAW, all I got was a small grey square.

Is there another trick?

Usually you are prompted for the image size of the RAW file. If the text file is very small, there will probably be not enough data to fill a large image.
