I am trying to find a plugin that will allow me to reduce the effects of moire from digital photography of striped and checked garments.
In the good old days it was possible to Descreen images that created moire patterns, or print the image with a dithered screen program (infrequently modulated screening). The client has written a PDF from within CS5 Illustrator which creates a checked effect and horrendous moire.
I have tried taking the images back into Photoshop, image size down to the actual size placed (from 48mB original) apply a gaussian blur and then place back in Illustrator - it improves but does not remove the moire.
Please can anyone help.
