Photoshop CS3 crashes when Text Tool is used

Hallo!

I'm about getting crazy because my CS3 always crashes when i try to use the Text Tool.
I searched for days in Google but all the Posts I found don't help me.
Is here anybody who can give me a solution on this problem? PLEASE!!!!!!
I am Using Windows XP Pro, 4GB RAM, AMD Athlon 5200+. If you need more information please let me know.

How many fonts do you have installed? Have you recently installed a new font that may be corrupt?
