Actions Image Ready ( PS7 )

I put an Action into the Image Ready Default Actions Folder however it won't load into the Actions Palette when I open IR.
Have tried resetting preferences and uninstall / reinstall PS 7 without resolving the problem.
Would anyone have any other ideas I could try?

Hi,
If you have found a Tutorial that produces the effect you want, you might consider making an Action so that it will be semi automatic for future use.

G'day Allen-H,
I have been fiddling with the settings and trying greys instead of black in the first part of the animated rain tutorial.
Depending on the background image colour, you can get a reasonable static rain effect.

Rain

G'day Robsmom, there is one small trick with the Tutorial, if your final animation seems to " flash " check that all frames have the rain effect filter applied. A frame without filter applied ( the original image file ) causes the flash effect.

Thanks for that quick response.
I realise now that I need to make a duplicate copy of background before bringing in the second image.
Works a treat, but I now have two ( at least ) ways to get the result.

Erasing with the History tool

G'day, I am a complete novice ( senior ) learning photoshop courtesy of the generous folk who post tutorials on the web and contribute to forums such as this. I recall seeing a tip using History tool to erase part of an image to reveal an underlying image. I have opened two images, same size, on the...
