Is TwistingPixels still in business?

I'm having no luck getting replies from TwistingPixels by email, their website is dated 2006 and it's been that long since I've heard from anybody there.

I plan to call them next week (I just Googled their phone number), but in the meantime, does anybody know anything about this?

Funny thing about the Topaz plug-ins, the most interesting results are unintended! For instance, Vivacity's Sharpen effects when pushed make beautiful painting-like art. When first testing the new Adjust Detail preset, my immediate reaction was that it was trying to emulate LucisArt. I'll have to do...

Hi Harald,

Did you experiment with my downloadable files? While Adjust cannot reproduce *all* of the effects along LucisArt's wide range, it comes close to a couple (the exaggerated edge effects and smooth effects). At least to my eye ;-).

Hi Dave, you seem to be using Windows, so this info from onOne's Support page is for you (http://www.ononesoftware.com/support/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=135): "The installer says it cannot locate Photoshop CS 2 or CS 3 even though I can use CS 2 or CS 3 just fine. "The installer looks at the Adobe regi...

I've posted a 983k 100% cropped view of an image with different Adjust effects that mimic LusicArt (top to bottom: Original 6mp JPEG shot at the Venetian, Las Vegas; Topaz Adjust Detail; Topaz Adjust Simplify). I think this will give you a better idea than the reduced-size samples on my website. It'...

A LucisArt contender has arisen!

A lot of people are trying to reproduce the infamous LucisArt effects using convoluted actions, HDR tricks, manual dodging and burning, etc. But an inexpensive plug-in was just released that comes closer than anything I've seen so far: Adjust . It not only gets pretty close to LucisArt's sought-afte...

My first thought is it might be Alien Skin SnapArt. Or maybe an Illustrator LiveTrace with added effects?

After reading the above I tried to get plug-ins working in GraphicConverter 6.1, but could not. I'm working on a G4 PPC/Leopard right now. When the latest ColorWasher was loaded, GC would only display its various language text files under its Effect>Plug-in Filter menu. No other plug-in, PPC or not,...

Check the website of each developer whose products interest you for more detailed information about system requirements and host compatibility. Any plug-in being introduced or updated in recent days may well be compatible with PSE 6.

Updated information just released by the developer: 1) The old LucisArt user interface will not be included in LucisArt Pro . The new user interface is easier to use than the current version of LucisArt. While the approach to accomplish the various effects is a little different, LucisArt Pro can do ...

A few quick ideas: Resample the image at double or quadruple the original resolution to add additional pixels, thus smoothing the overall effect. I call this "Hamburger Helper" ;-). Add grain using Photoshop or a plug-in to roughen up the look, adding perceived sharpness. Blur the image slightly. Ap...

Has anybody here tried Vivacity yet, and if so, how did it go?
