the time is such now that one can create great things with so little and to have too much hardware and software is merely an ego issue rather than an educated direction of choice. I both agree & disagree, here. @ "is merely an ego issue", I don't like to generalize/stereotype, ie lump millions of d...

It seems to me that the best way of doing this would be to convert your logo to a vector image, and then to edit your "nodes" as needed until you had a near-perfect fit. *EDIT* Something just occured to me... I think that Ulead's Gif-X plugin can do it, using an effect called 3D MAP. I've never had ...

I love "natural" effects. Orage claimed that art came closest to being "perfect" the more that it resembled nature. One of the BEST things about natures effects, ie water, lightning, fire, weather, light, lava, etc...is that there are BILLIONS of pictures available for a digital artist's use. In mos...

You should make it a habit to place text on a different layer and save that layered file. Then you won't have that problem in future. I don't like saving layered-images. My preferred method is to save a separate copy of my background as a bitmap (bmp). I save a separate copy of any additional text/...

You can pick up a copy of Photoshop 6.0 fairly cheap these days, actually...since so many people out there seem to have contracted "terminal-upgrade FEVER". I use PSP7 for most of my work, mostly due to speed, but also because certain plugins work better for me in PSP7 than they do in Photoshop. I'm...

Nice work indeed! I could easily see your "Time Traveler" being used professionally, ie a sci-fi book cover/movie poster, etc. I found myself especially drawn to "Inner and Outer Chaos"...that piece *~touched~* something inside of my uncommonly-warped psyche...visions from my "other life" as a Tolte...

Yo Bodymelt... I was interested in seeing your work, but bravenet.com had a different idea in mind. They offered me your URL, saying that it wasn't being used. Perhaps there is a recent problem with your account, or did I have a temporary *glitch* of some kind? ...please advise. Your posts indicate ...

I was not aware of this until reading your post, but I will definitely keep my eyes open for further developments. A quick google-search turned up next to nothing on the subject, but perhaps my keywords needed some fine-tuning. Many thanks for the tip, my anonymous friend...this looks interesting. :)

Mesh, deform, dodge, burn, amazing tools here....I suggest give up 7 and go 8. You will thank yourself for doing so. I you purchased the software you would have known there was a amnual with it. I'm not going to make any assumptions, nor jump to any conclusions....because if Lduke had "known there was a manual with it"...it seems obvious that she* would have ALSO known that her* claim would appear to be an obviou...

Great post, Bodymelt. Filters Unlimited seems to be exactly that. It is one of my most favorite plugins, and IMHO is a bargain at the price. I believe I have well over 2000 filters currently installed in mine, and it has never given me anything but excellent results and maximum convenience, as well ...

That My Documents folder is set up during the standard installation of PSP 8 as a sort of "remote" folder for any user-created presets, etcetera. Thank you for this information, Sally. Happy PSP7-user curious about PSP8
So far, I haven't heard/read anything about PSP8 that would make me want to upgrade to v8.0 from v7.04. One of the earliest criticisms of v8.0 that I read was that it wasn't a TRUE "upgrade"....kinda like WinXP, which was to Win2000 Pro what Etch-a-Sketch was to Leonardo da Vinci. "Dumbing DOWN" a s...

I can easily relate to your happiness at finding a solution, but it would be even better if others could learn from your mistakes ...instead of merely repeating them until they eventually learned for themselv...

http://www.photowow.com/new1/index.asp ...the URL above is a NON-Flash page. Just IMHO, Flash=CR@P. I can do anything Flash can do with graphics/html, but without the internet-security risk...
